Happy Chinese New Year

I'm not having anything in here, I'm just amazed how beautiful this is! It's Chinese New Year today and I just came home from get together lunch with friends from the church.

I'm feeling... feel like gaining weight for having too much sleep and munching every now and then. I'm in the middle of my lunar year vacation and haven't done any exercise :(

On my mind are some strategies on how to become fluent in Mandarin. Reading, listening, and writing aren't good enough, I have to find someone to talk with (exchange student).

Hi Lani!

新年快乐!

That's a pretty teapot you got there!

I did "jiao huan" before when I was learning Mandarin. There were many Chinese students who wanted to learn English with me so I made an agreement. I taught them English for 30 minutes and then they help me practice my Mandarin with them the next 3 minutes. It helped a lot. I didn't have to pay to get extra learning outside the classroom.

It seems you are enjoying your break. Don't worry about the weight gain, you'll soon lose it when you go back to work.

Blessings!
