Best Photo of the Year 2010

best
Actually, it's not really the best but has a meaning to all people living in Taipei. I took this photo last February 2010 during Chinese New Year Lantern Festival. I love the blue lights and Taipei 101 as the background.

Happy New Year!

Cheers to a New Year

I'm having hot chocolate in this favorite cup of mine with prunes and mixed nuts cupcake. Photo was taken last month, and I thought of posting it since yesterday was our first day of Chinese Class. I'm in  second intermediate level...hoping the lessons will not be boring as last semester :)

I'm feeling great, after spending Christmas with family and close relatives. I could say I'm energized after seeing them, how  time flies...And also, how God replied to my prayers... Yes, I can still stay in Taipei for another year or two :)

On my mind ...well, the plans for the upcoming New Year! My first priority is my health, I'm not getting any younger... going back to exercise and proper meal will be a good start :)

How Many Yellow Can You See?

December2010 068
Here in Taipei, Taxis are yellow, the flat rate is NT$70.

Sometimes, I'm annoyed with the fresh flowers inside (as in literally huge flowers in a vase), the smell is too strong! To those coming to visit Taipei, make sure to take taxi with marked "Tourist Taxi", the driver can speak either English or Japanese. If not, every vehicle has a tourist information hot line  0800-011-765, available in Chinese, English, Japanese, and even Korean.

How Great Are Your Works

It is good to give thanks to the LORD,
to sing praises to your name, O Most High;

The Road Not Taken

I'm having hot chocolate in our class, as usual in a paper cup, plus mixed-grain bread for breakfast.

I'm feeling excited, after 8 years of not spending Christmas in the Philippines, can't wait to go home!

On my mind, well, final exams for next week! Can't believe we're almost over!

Here, I'm sharing "The Road Not Taken", I captured it in our school's elevator/lift door :)

Coffee Break Time

I'm having coffee with cream minus sugar after eating sandwich in the plane with this green cute cup. I don't know, if it's only when drinking coffee I've noticed lately I'm having stomach acidity. Oh well, as I've said I need to control now!

I'm (not) feeling well, my allergy is attacking me since Monday. I have to take alavert everyday, just to keep me going. It's an occasional allergy from dust mite. I know I'll be fine in few days.

On my mind is looking forward this weekend, my friend and I will watch Harry Potter (I need to watch to keep me updated with students :), afterwards we'll go for Traditional Chinese Foot Massage.

I'm sharing this verses made by one of my students :)

Almost weekend, have one!

Pavilion of New Fashion @ Flora Expo

The moon behind the Pavilion

This is just one of the 14 Pavillions in International Flora Exposition. I have no time to see it last weekend. The structured wall outside of this building is made of 100% recycled bottles, combining with bamboo as the main material.

The Vogue Floral Show Magazine will take place in this Pavilion in November and December. By April 2011, the National Geographic Channel will open a special exhibit on boats using 12,500 recyled PET bottles. Looking forward to see this exhibit!
