It is a lovely estate, looking of the past while set in a urban landscape. The wonderful pond is beautiful. Not a forbidding moat, but lovely landscape detail. Lovely shadows/reflections at this stunning mansion!

Once in my home town, we had Ling Family timber tycoon. But one generations down the track, they are no longer tycoons.

What beautiful, peaceful photos of the Lin Family gardens! They look familiar - I guess I visited them back in 1990 when I was in Taipei!
